CREATOR · EDUCATOR · CREATIVE ECONOMY STRATEGIST

I am
Omobolaji Ajibare.

A little tech. A lot of creativity.

I’m a UK-based creator, social media manager, educator and creative economy strategist. Online, you might know me as The Social Media Oga or BolajiBillions.

I make social media, digital tools and the business of creating feel approachable, through practical tutorials, relatable Reels and honest conversations about working online.

A little about how I got here.

I’ve spent over ten years working in social media, and I became a full-time content creator in 2020. Along the way, I’ve managed brand accounts, built communities, trained social media managers and grown my own platforms.

So when I talk about planning content, working with brands or trying to make a living from your creativity, I’m bringing my own experience into that conversation. I know what it’s like to be the person behind the brand’s page and the creator receiving the brief. Both experiences shape how I work.

Before all of this, I studied Computer Science and Engineering at Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology (LAUTECH) in Nigeria. I later completed a master’s degree in Digital Marketing at the University of Salford in Manchester. So yes, the interest in technology goes beyond trying out the latest app. I enjoy understanding how things work, and I’m always thinking about how we can use them in our everyday lives and businesses.

Over time, that has become a big part of what people come to me for: explaining things in a way that makes them feel like, “Okay, I can actually do this.”

If I’m going to show you something, I want you to get it.

My content starts with a simple question: how can I make this easier to understand? I break down the steps, share examples and explain the why, so you can try it yourself.

I create for creators, social media managers, freelancers and business owners. And through BolajiBillions, I share the lifestyle moments and stories beyond work, too.

I work with brands to create tutorials, product demonstrations, sponsored videos and content that shows how a product fits into someone’s life or work.

My collaborations have included Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Semrush, Metricool and Hootsuite. Whether I’m introducing a feature or building a campaign around a tool, I look for an idea that makes sense for the brand and feels natural to my audience.

I want the person watching to understand why they should care, see what’s possible and know what to do next.

Teaching is a big part of how I create. Since I started mentoring in 2020, I’ve trained over 1,200 students, alongside sharing tutorials and lessons across my platforms.

I bring that same approach to speaking engagements and workshops. I draw from my experience in social media, content creation and brand partnerships, with examples people can relate to and ideas they can use.

Whether I’m speaking to a room or a camera, I want people to feel comfortable learning, asking questions and taking their next step.

The creative economy strategist

I help creators and brands think through the business of creativity, from building a career to creating valuable partnerships.

I’m interested in what happens beyond publishing a post. How does a creator turn their skills into a business? How can brands build better relationships with creators? What makes a partnership valuable to everyone involved?

Those are the questions behind my work as a creative economy strategist. I bring together what I’ve learned from managing social media, creating content, educating others and working with brands to help people think through those decisions.

For me, creativity and understanding the business belong in the same conversation.

Different platforms. The same Omobolaji.

You’ll find tutorials and longer conversations on YouTube, educational and lifestyle content on Instagram, and ideas across TikTok and LinkedIn. My LinkedIn and Substack newsletters give those ideas more room, with lessons and conversations about social media, creativity and the business of being a creator.

The format changes, but I bring the same curiosity, personality and willingness to explain things properly. I’m still learning too, and I’m happy to bring my community along as I figure things out.

“Follow to learn with me, not just from me.”

Have something in mind?

I’m open to brand campaigns, product tutorials, long-term partnerships, newsletter sponsorships, event coverage, speaking engagements and workshops.

If you can see me being part of your next campaign or conversation, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.

Let’s talk.
